Aqua care would like to share a few important hot tub care tips.
Hot Tub Tips:
DO NOT ... get into a hot tub that looks or smells bad
YOU MUST ... use a sanitizer. Ozone, Bromine or Chlorine are the most common. If you prefer to minmize the use of chemicals you can also have an Ultra Violet light supply plumbed onto your hot tub to aid sanitization.
TEST KIT... must be used to test for your sanitizer, alkalinity, pH and calcium hardness.
CHEMICAL ... Parts per Million (ppm) must be: Bromine / Chlorine.......................... 1.5 Minimum - 3.00 Maximum
SCUM ... digester (such as Freshen) should be used at least once a week to breakdown body oils that will have been deposited in the water.
SHOCK ... should be used at least once a week. This is an oxygen shock therapy for the water to help sanitization.
READ ... ALL Labels and follow instructions on ALL chemicals used.
